My first meeting with AIESEC Aguascalientes was when I arrived at the airport. They offered me a warm welcome, and took me to a restaurant to try my first ever Enchiladas verde in Mexico! AIESEC also helped me in the beginning with a lot of practical things in order for me to get adjusted to the Mexican life. As a foreigner in Mexico it takes some time to get used to everything, especially since not many people here talks English. At first, even a trip to the grocery store was a challenge, since I didn’t know much words in Spanish. But thanks to my host family and the AIESEC members, this process went a lot smoother. At my second day in Aguascalientes, they showed me around my neighborhood, introduced me to the most useful stores, and invited me to one of the oldest restaurants in town called San Antonio where I could try another delicious Mexican dish called Tamale.
A tamale is a traditional Mesoamerican dish made of masa or dough, which is steamed in a corn husk or banana leaf, and they come in two different types: Tamales Dulces (sweet), and Tamales Salados (Salted).

*Oh and just a friendly reminder! Do not forget to discard the wrapping before eating! (Cause I did!! :)
